Worlds Largest City on Amazon

Anyone try to order it from Amazon? I know the chances are slim of getting it but with a 37% discount and free shipping I don't really see the risk of at least trying. They wont charge me for it until (and if) it ships. It will be at least another month before they get it to me but I'm in no rush.

From what I've seen it's received only passable reviews so I don't see a reason why AEG would object to selling what copies they can on Amazon. I'm a bit of a city-book-whore so I'm certain to get it regardless.

I've ordered it through amazon. If it's like the World's Largest Dungeon, it will take 2-3 months for me to get it.

I had it ordered on Amazon.com, but cancelled, since it looks like they won't be shipping any time soon (and unfortunately, I can't really afford it anymore).

Me too. I might wait a bit and pick it up in a month or so.

My order was shipped yesterday. It looks like Amazon finally got some. Or at least one copy.

Just thought some would like to know.

If anyone else is like me and has looked for it on Amazon.ca, be aware that you apparently can't find it by searching for either "World's Largest City" or "Worlds Largest City." A search for "AEG", however, turns the book up with AEG listed as the author.

How's it look?

Haven't had a chance to look through it yet with any depth, but first impressions:

Font size is larger than the WLD; page count is smaller (the WLC is about 700 pages). The physical map size is smaller than the WLD maps as well.

One of the nice features that I did notice is that there is a rather large appendix that has stat blocks for many classes from levels 1-20. The really helpful ones are the wizards that not only have a "spells memorized" section, but also their spellbook content. Not sure if all base classes are represented - will check that out tonight.

I'll have to look more closely later, but it seems they avoided the repetitive space-hogging stat blocks in the main text, so even though it is a smaller book than the WLD, you may get just as much content.

Also, it looks like some of the city sections could easily be removed and interted into any other city. (For example, one of the sections is a "dwarven section" which could easily be placed on the perimeter of any other city.)
