A great idea, originally posted here . Spread the word everywhere you can!

By now most of you have seen the news about Gary Gygax.


I suggest that as a way of honoring Gary Gaygax we have a "GaryCon" across the globe this Friday and Saturday night.

By "We" - I mean every gamer possible who plays RPGs. Everywhere.

All of us play either Dungeons & Dragons this Friday and Saturday night

-OR-

We play the RPG rules system of our choice - but we do a typical D&D-type dungeon crawl. ...either Friday or Saturday night.

Everywhere....every city or town possible.

I'll be dungeon crawling on Saturday night, and then running a dungeon crawl on Sunday afternoon. And there will be an extra chair at the game I run, in his honour.

Our gang meets on most Sundays, so we'll be gaming in his honor this weekend, anyway.

He taught us a lot, the least we can do is put it to good use.

There are ten of us, gaming on line right now. Doing An "In Honor of Gary Gygax" game on SKYPE using Open RPG. We are running through Keep on the Borderlands.

We will all do more on Friday and Saturday.

What a great idea!

My group meets midnight fridays after one player, our building's assistant manager, gets off work. Co-incidentally we've invited a new couple to this week's game; she has some old-school AD&D experience and he's a total n00b.

Now I've gotta put a dungeon-crawl in there for them. Just a little one.
Does anybody have good stats for good old-fashioned "doggy" kobolds? I'd like an encounter with them and some nasty traps (I have enough of them, though) .

Ooh. . . and an owlbear!

To support this tribute and do my part I am offering Turris Lemurum, one of our Zwanzig OGL (think about it because I can't say it) titles. It is the closest to a true dungeon crawl I have made and can be run in one night. You do not need Roma Imperious to run it. Maps, plots, PCs classes and all kinds of goodies.
