Yeah, how dare they humanize the characters. And what's with that whole "making the story palatable in film form" thing? (Or palatable period, for most people) And how dare they give women a significant presence in the story. Women are only useful as plot devices, not characters. :rolleyes:

But before I get off on that rant, I will point out that you're complaining about something you consider a bad adaptation rather than a bad sequel in its own right. So, technically, this is the wrong place for that gripe.
 

Actually, I would agree that The Two Towers movie was a horrible adaptation of the books. Several overriding themes of the books were ignored, and the characterization issues are too many to list here. That said, the movies themselves are alright action flicks, and certainly not among the worst movies of all time.
