drothgery said:I don't know about worst stats, but the most schitzoid set I ever rolled was last weekend. My tabletop PC had been turned to stone, and I figured it might be useful to have a backup PC ready, so I tossed the dice via our normal method. First set was pretty decent.
Second set started out excellent - with an 18.
Next roll was looking crazy good - another 18.
Third roll, a 9. Okay, I can live with a 9 with two 18s.
Fourth roll, a third 18, and I'm thinking of ways to kill off my PC to use something built with these stats.
Fifth roll, 6. Maybe not, but if the last roll is okay, I can just play a race against type (i.e. put the 18 where I'd get a +2, and a 6 where I get a +2) and apply my level up bonuses to kill off penalties.
Sixth roll, another 6. Nope, not using this set after all.
And the third set was just bad.

drothgery said:I said it was schitzoid, not bad (though I'd prefer to play a character with more balanced stats, and might seek out an oddball race with major stat modifiers); the third set I rolled that day was bad (best score was a 13, only one other above 10).

Is from a Guy I used to game with. His low-rolling was legendary.
He once went 54 straight D20 rolls (we counted) with no roll in Double Digits (if it was an Attack) & 32 rolls Above a 15 on Skill Checks (2nd Ed where skill checks needed to be low).
His low point:
Rolled a First Ed character off 3D6, no re-rolls:
Four 3's, One 4, One 5.
He normally averaged around a 10 on 4d6, re-roll 1's Once.
They guy had the touch of Death vs Dice.
