WoT-- Book 10 has a title.

Generally, it takes between six month to a year before the book gets to Tor. (Knows this because that how long Winter's Heart took!) Then another six month for Tor to edit it. Believe me, we won't see this bad boy any time soon.

For the last few books, Tor has really rushed the final manuscript -> hardcover in stores process, squeezing down to about two months. It really does take Jordan about two years to write teh things.

Well forgive me Droth, but I've been around since Fires of Heaven, or at least Shadow Rising, so I know it just takes FOREVER before the latest one comes out. Regardless, I hope I can find a HC of Game of Thrones and the PC of Storm of Swords, not matter how many books it comes in.

2 Year Cycle

Hey Nightfall, its been a while since we've been on the same thread.

RJ has been steadily on a two year cycle. Crown of Swords- in 1996, Path of Daggers- 1998, and Winters Heart- 2000, so I would expect the next one sometime this year, the last two have been out around Oct and Nov. Crown of Swords was out in June 1996.

Lord of Chaos was 1994, and I think Fires of Heaven was 1992. Eye of the World took 4 years to write, but wasn't published until Jordan was about halfway through The Great Hunt. For a few books, he was spending 14 months writing them and they were getting published once a year. Obviously, this couldn't last. And then, I think after Fires of Heaven, Jordan realized he couldn't keep up with the pace he was on and slowed down for the rest of the books.

People still read Jordan? I'm surprised. After reading 8000 pages and realizing there is no END EVER.... I gave up. More power to you.

Even if you've got paperbacks of all nine novels and you count New Spring, you're not going to break 8000 pages... not quite.

It would if you read the series 5 times :p and numerous skimmings of the BBBA.
