[WoT] License Questions.

ToddSchumacher

I like to draw!
See I'm not sure if I should post this here in this forum or in the publishers. Here goes.

We all know now that WotC isn't doing any more work for the WoT Game, I'm wondering if its possable/probable that a third party could continue the support. Ala ravenloft.

How long does Wizards have the license?

Is this just a pipe dream?

I was wondering if it's OGC, or if it will be eventually.

I liked the Composure Skill enough that I wrote up a simile of it

Composure ( Wis)
Trained only
You are good at keeping your emotions under control.
Check: You can maintain calm under extreme pressure, such as when afraid, stressed, or other trying emotion circumstances. With a successful check at DC 15 you
gain a +2 bonus on bluff, diplomacy, and intimidate checks.
Retry A character is not normally allowed a retry for a failed composure check

but would prefer the full original thing to my crackpot wannabe write up

If any other company wants to do Wheel of Time must either contact Robert Jordan or his licensing agent.

As far as Wizards' Wheel of Time RPG products, according to them the agreement was to publish one core rulebook and one supplement.

I don't know if any of the WoT rules material will become OGC. If anything, Star Wars OCR should have priority. If they do become OGC, they will not have WoT reference and trademarks and whatever Robert Jordan deems as off-limit.
