WotC 2006 January through April releases

Not to hijack the thread since the initial gist of it pertains to many Dungeons & Dragons lines, but...

Inside the catalog, what new non-D&D products are slated for early 2006?
d20 Future Tech.
That's it.
Nothing Star Wars, not even SW minis, although old SW products are listed in the backlist section.

They have never included ccg's in this catalog, nor the Avalon Hill products, only the "TSR" stuff. I haven't yet listed the novels, but they ARE in the catalog.

I think I'm going to skip Races of the Dragon. I was hoping Ms. Kestrel was working some of the fey articles she wrote for the WOTC website into a fey themed monster book.

Uhhh... was I the only one who read this and thought of the Mogh (sp?) from Arcana Unearthed?

No. I think it's Mohj though. And this sounds like you get to play the transition, as opposed to just formerly being X. Could be interesting.

Kobold Avenger - Your kobold barbarian should really look into the Drakeknight kobold-only prestige class, included in Fiery Dragon's Counter Pack 3 (available as a PDF download at DriveThruRPG)

Anyone knows the supposed level of Voyage of the Golden Dragon?

Yo Klaus! There is a thread in off-topic wondering where you disappeared too.

Sounds like a good list. I'm interested in a few things, but not all (which is typical). I'm keyed up for Races of the Dragon, Complete Psionic, D&D War Drums minis, and D20 Future Tech. I may also look at Tome of Magic, but I'm pretty much on the fence about that one.

Races of the Dragon
Gwendolyn F.M. Kestrel, Jennifer Clarke Wilkes, and Kolya Raven Liquette
A new D&D sourcebook detailing races descended from dragons.
Races of the Dragon provides D&D players and Dungeon Masters with an in-depth look at races descended from or related to dragons. In addition to exploring the fan-favorite kobold race, Races of the Dragon introduces two new races, dragonborn and spellscales, and provides information on half-dragons. The dragonborn are a transitive race, an exciting new concept that allows players to transform from their initial race into a new one. The book also includes a wealth of cultural information and new prestige classes, feats, equipment, spells and magic items.

Meh. Kobolds might be interesting. The notion of the dragonborn really, really turns me off. A lot. Half-dragons are a dead horse. And I'm going to start chopping off fingers if they put in Draconic feats geared toward sorcerers -- the rumor of draconic heritage in sorcerers was cool, making it canon steals all the alure.

Player's Guide to Eberron
James Wyatt, Keith Baker, Luke Johnson, Steven Stan! Brown
The ultimate rules companion and gazatteer for Eberron players.
The Player's Guide to Eberron contains everything a player needs to know about the Eberron campaign setting. Presenting information in an innovative spread format, this comprehensive gazatteer covers key topics a character should know about, from Aerenal to Zilargo, house politics to the Last War, dragons to the Lords of Dust, without revealing information meant for Dungeon Masters only. New feats, prestige classes, magic items, and spells are included in the relevant entries.

Excellent. This one is almost a certain purchase.

Tome of Magic: Pact, Shadow, and the True Name Magic
Matthew Sernett, Dave Noonan, Ari Marmell, Robert J. Schwalb
Three new magic systems for any D&D campaign.
Tome of Magic introduces three new magic subsystems for the D&D game. Any or all of these systems can easily be inserted into a campaign. Pact magic gives characters the ability to channel lost souls, harnessing their abilities to gain supernatural powers. Shadow magic draws power from the mysterious Plane of Shadow. True name magic gives characters that learn and properly use the true name of a creature or object immense poer over it. All three systems introduce new base classes and spellcasting mechanics. Also included are new feats, prestige classes, magic items, and spells.

This looks really, really interesting. Which reminds me: I need to go pick up its predecessor.

Complete Psionic
Bruce R. Cordell and Christopher Lindsay
The essential Sourcebook for expanding the use of psionic power by any character.
Complete Psionics provides new options for creating and playing rich psionic characters. Whether you're playing a devoted psion or psionic warrior, or a member of a psionic race, or just looking to expand yor character's options, this sourcebook has something for you. Players and Dungeon Masters gain access to new combat options, powers, equipment, and prestige classes, as well as exciting new character classes. Complete Psionic also provides new information on psionic organizations, and Dungeon Masters will find material for incorporating psionics into their campaign worlds.

Has potential. I've got a psionic empire in my homebrew, so this may save me quite a bit of work.
