D&D 5E WotC announces book delay.

Yea, I’m hoping it doesn’t get worse and I know it is worse for many.

Probably won't. Companies are pretty conservative by nature, so if they have to announce a delay, they prefer to do so in a way so they don't have to announce another delay later.

Considering how Fizban's is releasing this month, it probably is that some shipments would be late by a couple of days. If it was actually closer to a week delay, the announced delay would have been 2 weeks (in case a new thing happens).

I'm off work the week Fizban's was supposed to be released, and was looking forward to a pleasant afternoon walk to the local gaming store. Now it's going to be an evening walk after work instead...

I wonder if D&D Beyond will move the digital release as well...

The DDB page for Fizban's (Fizban's Treasury of Dragons) says "Available October 26."

And Strixhaven is updated to say December 7 (Strixhaven: A Curriculum of Chaos).

Least shocking news ever, other than only by 1 week. My flooring is at least 6 weeks delayed at this point......

I'm biting my tongue on what we should do as a world on this topic....

We just installed a kitchen where the fridge is backordered until February. The contractor ordered it in March.

I really worry about the shipping crisis, and not only for these books. 2022 could become a horrible year for the global economy. Somebody says even it may be worse than the crack of 1929.
