D&D 5E (2014) WotC announces book delay.

I really worry about the shipping crisis, and not only for these books. 2022 could become a horrible year for the global economy. Somebody says even it may be worse than the crack of 1929.

Well, this is doubtful. The shipping crisis is getting better bit-by-bit. It's just a slow process.

Likely to be a slow recovery across industries. Probably going to be like that for a few years, see 2008-recovery.

I was originally going to be gone on vacation when Fizban's Treasury of Dragons comes out, but this delay at least makes it so I'll be home when it arrives.

I'm not sure if this is really a positive, because I have to wait the same amount of time to have access to the book, but the glass is at least a tiny bit full here, for me at least. (As well as the fact that it's only delayed a week, which is way less of a delay than what happened to MOoT last year, which was over a month and a half.)

For now.

For those interested, below is a pretty cool website. This view happens to be (mostly) the container ships sitting off the coast of Los Angeles/Long Beach waiting to be offloaded. Was up to 79 a week or two ago.
