Hmm. Yes those people exist, probably in the hundreds of thousands. But not many will be posting here.

To give you some idea. 3rd edition/D20 came out in late 2000. We are looking at 60+ months. To have less then 20 you have to ration yourself to less then 4 books a year or 1 book every 3 months. I am confident to say that is not something most of us are capable of

:D Perhaps. :D

(I'm new here... ;) )

I don't know... I guess over a certain number, I'd just as soon hear more and have people elaborate. Below a certain number (I chose 30), I was interested in a break down, and specifically when it gets down under a handful.

I wasn't really looking to just hear people brag about "size", IYKWIMAITYD :D
Well, I don't see that the number of books I've got is anything to brag about. With such a number, it's quite obvious that I cannot use everything, and sometimes I think I should say good bye to a larger amount of those books. But always, when I try to do that, I'm sitting there and find myself saying "Oh, this tome had this cool idea" and "I really have to use that rule soon", and then the book goes back on the shelf.

I'm thinking about doing my personal "best of d20" soon, though. Let's see whether this will ever materialize, because even this will be a piece of work ;).

I was going to say "you want me to count?", but thankfully you made your poll easy.

Close to a hundred d20 books. (And exactly zero for-pay PDFs.)

Well, see, yeah. I'd say you fit in that "who spends the time pouring over every thing they buy and gleaning the best of the best rules" category, even if you haven't quite used them yet. More of the intention. It separates you from the "collector" who fully knows they won't use all of their stuff, but are clearly intending to complete their collection. :)

And another.

Guard Tower loves me. Knows my name. I shudder to think how much I've spent there. :uhoh:

I used to go there a lot but frankly their customer service is dreadful, though they have the best selction in town.

The three core books (PHB&DMG are 3.5, MM is 3.0),
the Manual of the Planes,
Unearthed Arcana
D20 Modern
Urban Arcana
D20 Future
And the first five Warcraft:RPG books*

So thirteen.

*Actually, I've got extra copies of the first three. if anyone wants them, let me know.

I have one of those huge moving boxes (maybe 4'x4'x4') full of 1st and 2nd edition stuff. Not to mention the books still in my bookshelf or at other people's houses.:\

3/3.5E, I have about 14 all together. I'm still waiting for Lost Empires of Faerun (which is still at my mother in-law's house) and a few odds and ends.
