I'm not quite sure how true that is. First thing is I am not sure what the numbers on MTG sales are, but they certainly have shrunk from its heyday, moreover there is a lot more competion out there to chose from.

Magic has been doing very well from the reports I've read, but it's been hit fairly hard in the past year due mainly to the Poker craze. (There's quite some overlap in the market).

Cheers!

Go ahead and feel as old as you like, but then talk to CMG Mark and you'll find out what real old is.

Wait... that supposed to be internal monologue.... ah well.... :)
Is he older than George Bush Sr or Bob Dole?

16 Players age group is 10 to 39....I am 38..and the DM.

40 aint old, but i guess it all depends on the mental state of who thinks so. :p

What about the mental state of those don't? They need to grow up, says a thirtysomething who still plays an organized form of "Let's Pretend."

well in my group the youngest player is 21, there are two of us at 23, one at 25, one at 33, one 34 and one 35... Plus the two year old who likes to run up to our table grab dice and throw them across the room.

got to go from the chart for 2004 GenCon

While the chart is not correct with WoTC, it does show who goes to GenCon, I would think Wizards would be trying to hit the group before the 25 year olds as their target.
Thing to remember about the chart is who is also going to be the most financially able to attend gencon?
The slightly older gamers.
