First, Eberron, now they announce that they will convert all minis to the new version of the skirmish game. This announcement is on the minis main page, and is different than the one on the marketing page.

They do listen, and they are human....

I'm glad they listened about those 2 things. Especially the conversion of the mini's, which was such blatant decision to milk their customers.

But these were easy decisions to make change that didn't have any impact on their plans. Coming up with official stat cards for any existing mini is easy once the rules are finished, and they have probably just started working on the Eberron revision for 2009, so not a big deal either. It's nice to see they're listening, but I'm not giving them too much credit for these. I think these are basically good will gestures.

Making changes that actually impacts their current implementation plans would be a clearer sign to me of their willingness to both listen to their customers and realize when they make a mistake.

But at least for the mini and Eberron players this is something to be happy about.

I doubt that they can change FR plans now anyways, not because of the RPG releases, but because of the novels. They are the tail that wags the dog.

As long as you are not a long standing FR fan.... :p

The only way to get their attetion is for FR fans not to buy any 4e produtcs untill they revise things in a way we find agreeable.

The wercking of the Realms will insure I don't buy any wotc/hasbro products. The change adding powers will insure I don't waste money on 4e anyway. It's too starwars The Force or anime mystical for me. If D&D had started with powers I would be playing RQ and Tekumel. By the way I've seen some great new Tekumel minis :)

If it really was a "yes you can" game there would be other options then their new ones.

So the announcement read:

We’re proud to announce that every D&D Miniatures set, from Harbinger, Dragoneye, and Archfiends through next month's Desert of Desolation, will be converted to the new 4th edition skirmish rules.

Any clarification as to whether this will be "converted, with both skirmish and rpg stats" or just "converted skirmish stats for use with the skirmish game only" ?

The really cool thing about this is that we'll get to see the 4e stats for a whole lot of monsters come January.

Or it may mean that the skirmish players may be happy, and you may not get to see those 4E stats until the 4EMM1 gets released or even longer...

I seem to recall a comment on the Mini Boards that updated RPG stats would be released as the actual monsters are updated. That is, anything they can swap in an entry from MM 1 they will, but otherwise, we'll have to wait.
