City of Stormreach (Eberron Supplement)

Sweet! Considering how much time I spent in DDO, I already have a good idea of how to describe the city in minute detail. This will only help for when I dump adventures on this continent. :)

It's just a shame the D&D Online version is very, very out of touch with the flavour and feel of Eberron.

Yeah, but I really like the look and feel of the city. My time spent in DDO will help me as a DM at least. :)

Yeah, I mean the game is beautiful to look at, but it really drops the ball on being 'Eberron' and it jerks you out of being in character, a lot.

But, man, for something so stupid in mechanics, it's lovely to look at and run around in. I played the 10 day demo and enjoyed it, but not enough to slap down a monthly fee.

My big problem? Stormreach is a prospecting town in the ruins of a giant city. In D&D Online, it doesn't look anything like that.

It's a frontier town on the edge of civilisation, but it's way more magical-looking than Sharn - every set of docks is supported by glowing magical columns of golden runes? WTF?

There are plenty of floating towers and whatnot in Eberron, but they're in Khorvaire, and they're the most expensive places in all of Sharn to live, or a wizards' academy, or the headquarters of the alliance of the dragonmarked houses, not some random inn floating out in the Stormreach harbour.
