I gave up on the WotC boards. I used to post there a LOT (close to 5,000 posts IIRC). Posting there is an exercise in futility IMO. I grew tired of the fighters are too weak, the ranger sucks, my sorc revision, explain AoO's to me threads, the member of so-and-so lame group sigs, the mile-long sigs, and the atrocious spelling.
You post on the WotC boards until you find ENWorld, then you "graduate".
I most often visit the Character Optimization forum when I am over at the WotC site. If you go there, keep your eyes open for any post by Snow Savant; she is a brilliant, creative, and very personable and classy forum regular.
The CO (when it was called the Min/Max board) is where I used to post the most. I would also defend it to last. No more. That board should be renamed the House of the Broken Characters or The DM's Worst Nightmare. Snow knows the rules, without question, but most of the builds in that board are unplayable. It usually operates under the guise of seeing how far you can push the rules, just for fun of course, but that's
all you see. There aren't any "normal" builds in there anymore. They are all out to break the bank. It's also one of the busiest boards because it's exactly what every new book o' crunch promotes.
My only regret is that I found ENWorld sooner. :\
