Don't worry Chris, I'm sure that you guys at Soverign Stone do good work and I can't wait to see what other Dragonlance stuff you guys come out with.

Substandard crap, eh? Apparently you haven't compared any of our recent products with the vast majority of other d20 products out there, have you?

Certainly I have. The vast majority of all d20 products are crap. Sturgeon's Law and all.

Additionally, you truly have no idea just how much effort we are putting into Dragonlance. The point is Sovereign Press is WRITING Dragonlance, we are using the WotC guidelines for creation, we are working closely with WotC to ensure that it is a quality product, and once the Campaign Setting is out, then we will be SURE to live up to that quality, if not go even better.

Our d20 Campaign Setting is already in its 5th printing, with our support products also having seen multiple print runs. We may not be a "HIT" by most people's standards as we only focus on World-Specific information, but I can ensure you that Dragonlance has no better home than with Margaret Weis and company.

As long as Tracy Hickman's involved as well, I don't disagree. I'd just rather have Wizards approve the final product, as I trust their standards more than yours. Sorry, but there it is. Call me burned by the original Sovereign Stone product.

At last!

Well, looks like a lot of stuff I'll be picking up all at once there.

And I'm so relieved to finally be able to talk about the Hero's Guide; I turned in the manuscript back in June, and having to keep my mouth shut about it is killer.

But Moridin, how much can you discuss about the new SW Heroe's Guide? What prestige classes will appear in it?

Perhaps I am better off asking this on your website, or on the official WOTC SW messageboards.

Derek, do you have a list of the first quarter of WotC products posted somewhere? I can't find anything on your site and I am real interested in how much money I'll be spending here within the next couple months. :P

Thanks.

I would be kind of interested to see what you consider quality, but as I truly don't wish to lead this down to trail to a pointless arguement, I'll just let that lie.

Just to set your little heart at ease, though, you'll be able to sleep safely. WotC is "holding our hands" through the process, after all, they own the Dragonlance properites, they just have enough faith in us to allow us to do the hard part.

Thanks Nightfall. We've been working our butts off to make sure that Dragonlance more than lives up to expectations, we want to exceed them on all counts. It's nice to hear that some people have faith in us ;)

Ghostwalk struck me as a little odd. How useful will it be to RP as ghosts?

It's more than just roleplaying as Ghosts. It can be used as a stand-alone setting, or inserted into an existing campaign. Playing a ghost is just part of it (and we're not talking MM ghosts), but the reasons why you can play a ghost are one of the cool things about the setting.

"An undead city" is not really accurate, but they only have so much room to explain stuff in those catalog blurbs.

Check out the RPG/Ghostwalk section of my site for some more info Monte and I have hinted about in the past year. I'll add more as the release date gets closer.

So basically, the old Spellbound boxed set updated to a 3E hardback huh?

Hardly. As someone who was disappointed with how Spellbound turned out, I pushed to make UE really cool. As with The Silver Marches, UE is a book where you can actually play characters native to the area(unlike Spellbound, which was mostly from a Dales/Western Heartlands perspective treated Ag, Rash, and Thay as incredibly hostile places that you'd visit once and then never return to).
