Thanks Nightfall. We've been working our butts off to make sure that Dragonlance more than lives up to expectations, we want to exceed them on all counts. It's nice to hear that some people have faith in us ;)

Some of us have a whole heaping helping of faith in you, Chris. ;)

Carry on...

It's more than just roleplaying as Ghosts. It can be used as a stand-alone setting, or inserted into an existing campaign. Playing a ghost is just part of it (and we're not talking MM ghosts), but the reasons why you can play a ghost are one of the cool things about the setting.

"An undead city" is not really accurate, but they only have so much room to explain stuff in those catalog blurbs.

Check out the RPG/Ghostwalk section of my site for some more info Monte and I have hinted about in the past year. I'll add more as the release date gets closer.

I wonder how similar it will be to the city of Skaukator in ENWorld's Daemonforge setting. Admittedly, interest in DF died down a few months ago, but I was hoping to eventually get around to writing up a detailed setting for the city. Nothing says adventure like a tunnel-ridden mountain city where every spirit that has died for the past thousand years is living. But I guess this is the price you pay for taking too long.

Can't wait to see it, Sean. And since I can't wait, hopefully you'll drop some more tidbits, eh? ;)

Of course I do. :) I have faith until proven otherwise. Besides, I think, regardless what some people think, there's a lot of GOOD d20 products out there, in the market. I think that d20 Dragonlance will certainly be one of them.

I would like to ask this one question though: Is it true you guys have made your own Death Knight Template?

Thanks Curt!
I usually can't get here until later in the night.

I think I originally posted this on Nutkinland as I couldn't access the EN boards when the quarter 1 catalog came out. I went and looked at the WotC site and they don't even have a 2003 product guide up yet. I find that weird. :(

I guess if you like I can post the quarter 1 release in the same style I did this post in. :) Curt has posted pretty much the jist of it though.

Have you considered licensing one of the old TSR worlds Planescape, Al-Qadim, maybe Spelljammer?

Jim Butler:
We've looked into these possibilities, but nothing has worked out. Wizards wants to produce the main books for these worlds on their own before handing a license off to someone, and that just defeats the reason for us doing the license. The main campaign book is the best-seller of a line's products, so taking that out of the mix reduces our interest in the world. I'm not saying we wouldn't do it, but it's not something we're striving after as much as we used to. If we could work out a deal that both WotC and Bastion Press could agree was fair, we'd take another serious look at it.

Yet, the Ravenloft core setting book was published by Sword & Sorcery/WW.

Maybe they changed their mind after the Ravenloft deal.

However, Green Ronin has recently bought the right to Dragon Fist, and I would be surprised if the core DF setting book was to not be published by DF. Sure, DF was a bit of an oddball for an old TSR setting, as it was never published and it used a simplified variant of the AD&D2 rules.

Edit: Doh! I wrote BP instead of GR...
