[h=3]Random Generators[/h]
Over the last few months I've been intermittently creating random generators using OGRE, the Online Generic Randomizer Engine funded via the Rebuilding EN World Kickstarter easrlier this year. Here's some I've made recently (you need to be logged in to run them):
  • Random Space Radio Chatter -- As the PCs' ship approaches the space station, they open radio frequencies and listen to the space traffic controller handling the various ships in the vicinity.
  • Random Mixed Name -- A contemporary name (first-last) calling on a variety of nationalities with equal weight, both male and female. First and last name are determined randomly and separately, creating mixed nationality combinations.
  • Sherlock Holmes Case Generator -- Create a Sherlock Holmes-style mystery or case name!
  • James Bond Movie Title Generator -- James Bond will return! Generate a quick 007-style movie title!
  • Secret Society and Motto -- A secret society, plus it's motto.
  • Martial Arts Style Creator -- Creates a simple martial arts name.
  • Fantasy Coin Creator -- Generates a quick fantasy coin - its basic shape, metal, engraving and optional value (usually more than it would be if it were a typical coin of that type).
  • Spaceship Creator -- Generates a quick human-owned spaceship, along with its captain, first officer, and cargo hold. The ship itself may have any origin of manufacture, depending on the franchise you choose, but the captain will be human. Best used to quickly generate a list of ships at a docking port, space station, or similar.
