Hmm, I wonder if this is an Arcane Age product.

Doubtful, considering that neither Netheril nor Cormanthor did well (though Cormanthor did have the follow up FALL OF MYTH DRANNOR adventure supplement, which was far superior to the HOW THE MIGHTY ARE FALLEN adventure, imo).

I think this is farm more likely to involve a follow up to the Death of the Dragon cycle timeline. I am guessing it's going to have something to do with the death of the original Mystra at the hands of Helm during the Avatar crisis. Something to do with the Shadovar would be my guess. Probably them doing something to the Weave ("Tearing" it, perhaps) in an attempt to subvert it/destroy it for the greater glory of Netheril/Shar....

Huh. Now I'm looking forward to this. My brand new campaign is taking place in Cormyr. We've only had a single session, and the PC's are all first level. Given that this is a bi-weekly campaign, they may be at an appropriate level by the time the module comes out....

On the WotC boards Rich Baker has said the Cormyr book is an adventure in a new format that they haven't done before. That's the only detail he would give about it.

Sounds like an adventure to me. I'm looking forward to it.

Intriguing. The FR adventure is on my must-buy list. For Magic Item Compendium I sadly probably already have all the books and magazines it's using as sources. For the SW book... I shall wait and see. If I can get it for an affordable price, I might get it, even if I'll probably never, ever get to play.

Let's see here:

CORMYR: A Tearing of the Weave: Another FR adventure? Jeez, when are they going to do something different or go back to regional books? I'd like to see more regional books, possibly a Faiths&Pantheons 2, Magic of Faerun 2, a 3rd Edition Giantcraft, there's so many things they can do. But yet another adventure book? Bleh. We have Twilight Tomb coming after Dragons of Faerun and then this Cormyr one.

Looks like Dragons of Faerun will be my last FR book for a long time.

Magic Item Compendium: Yet another steal by WotC. I had no intentions of purchasing Spell Compendium, but then I find out 75% of the spells were revised and errata in the book. So in order to play with balanced spells I had to buy the book. Also, the book itself still needs to be errata'd too! If Magic Item Compendium turns out like Spell Compendium did, not worth it for sure.

Looks like you'll be getting both of my books in the next 8 months. You never know, but I think people will be quite happy with the MIC, regardless of their current conceptions of what it will contain.
