WotC Setting Search

I think it's a little bit of both: psionics-fans haven't seen a D&D setting that really used those rules since Dark Sun, so having them available in a new setting would be more options for those who want them.

What is the fascination with psionics? They seem to be disproportionally represented in the semi- and finalist settings. And, of course, we have Eberron. Not to mention Dark Sun redux in Dragon/Dungeon magazines.

Though I am a fan of psionics in the right context (like Dark Sun), Morningstar didn't really end up with psionics being anything more than a fringe topic. I set some space aside for them, and mention them maybe twice in the book, but mainly they're there to represent alien magics. Magic is far and away the primary thrust of Morningstar.

I'm interested in any updates -- any settings developed, or morphed into other forms? I've sold a couple of short stories based on my setting proposals.

So, yeah... whatcha been up to? :)

Septentrionalis was actually submitted to WOTC's setting search. It will be published as Northern Crown: New World Adventures by Atlas Games next year.
