WotC Sneak Peek Seminar

I've been surprised that the Adventure Path that debuted with 3.0 never made it to a compilled 3.5 super adventure. With all the new adventurers, I was sure they'd update the old 3.0 material and change it's format.
I can see two reasons:

1. Too soon.
2. It wasn't all that good to begin with.

I think it'd be a good idea to put a 3.5 Sunken Citadel on the web site, though. It's the closest 3.x has to KotB, and it's got Meepo. :)

I agree. Too much of the 3.0E Adventure path was pretty damn ordinary. I felt the higher level stuff was basically, um, crap. Perhaps "turgid dreck" is a nicer choice of phrasing....

I'd love a Year of the Giants but somehow I don't believe it's coming...

On the other hand...
Could the new MM be.... Mike Mearls Revised Monster Manual!? (MMRMM)

I thought it too. Perhaps we are seeing next year Revised 3.5. I would like it. Far better than a new edition. I have to many adventure to play and supplements to use. I would stop buying 4.0 products.

What a catalog! Lots of interesting stuff for me as a DM and customer - all the Expeditions, Cityscape, Dungeonscape, Magic Item Compendium, some really cool looking adventures. Nice.

On a design point of view, the concept of Reserve Feats (talked about concerning Complete Mage) certainly picks my interest, as well as the new tactical double-page spread encounter presentation for Expedition to Castle Ravenloft and beyond. Wizards posted some prototypes earlier this year on the website, if I remember well, and I thought that was an excellent idea. I keep thinking it is!

Let's hope the actual products will live up to the standard the teasers point out. :)

PS: That picture of Mordenkainen looming over what looks like Castle Greyhawk... man, gave me goose bumps!

Would be a good theme for a year actually. Year of the Giants could see:

Expedition Against The Giants (1 super 224 page module, or perhaps 3 160 page modules. I know I'd buy 3!)
A monster book on Giants (a la Draconomicon)
Giantcraft for the Forgotten Realms (160 page)
A huge set for the miniatures line including some new figures of the basic giants (Fire, Frost, Storm) as well as others not yet covered (that I know of) like Cloud, Mountain, Sand, Phaerlinn, Fomorian etc.

All in 36-48 size font. :)
