WotC to make a GI Joe card game!?

Sounds like a good idea to me. I think it'll be popular with boys. Maybe not as much of a craze as Pokemon but a money maker nonetheless.

Is GI Joe still around? I thought that was a thing from the past... I mean, I can't think of anything else that was around when I was a kid that's still around.

Anyone remember the GI Joe game for Commodore-64?

Man, now I've got the theme music stuck in my head.

And the C-64 sound effects.

My friend, you need to check out the new GI Joe comic from Image. It's on Issue #23 and it is red-hot.

So is the Baroness's new look... ;)

Atari...

Spider-Man...

X-Men....

Transformers... (launched about the same time as GI:JOE, American Heroes)

As for the TCG, I have to disagree with Michael_Morris. GI:JOE would make an excellent TCG product. Right now, Wizards is holding steadily up at the top, despite losing the Pokemon license. They need to maintain the status quo by launching an equally hot product, especially when the Harry Potter TCG didn't give them a major sales boost like Pokemon.

Of course for an anti-TCG pro-RPG activist like me, I personally think they should try and launch an RPG line as well.
