D&D 5E Wotc website. ....

that was part of the online content, but after 4e slacked off, the site was driven by the 'development' blogs the team was writing while they worked on the game. stuff like ed greenwood's weekly realms article is what i'd like to see more of. looking in the 3.5 archives shows a lot of cool old articles they could start back up for practically nothing.

I've looked all over the WotC D&D site, where is the link to the 3.5 archives?

I totally agree with the OP. It's very hard to even see if the site has an update. But that's mostly because they haven't done a lot of updates except to tell us things were delayed. One could say they are busy busy with the DMG but I do feel that's kind of a lame excuse. Maybe Mearls has started passing his articles around the building (and possibly letting a 10-year-old read it as well) for opinions so he doesn't say something that doesn't jive with the fan-base. That sort of thing takes up a lot of man-hours.

Also what they do have on the site isn't all that interesting to me. I don't care about that Neverwinter game. I think that game has very little RPG in it. The Web comic might be ok but they don't even link the pages together. Then we can't leave any comments on any of the articles. It annoys me when a site links to Facebook and Twitter. That just tells me that they don't (want to) read our opinions.

One day I hope that WotC hire someone who can make a website that doesn't require Sherlock Holmes level of skill in order to find anything.

Yes, it would be nice to have more content on the website.
However, I would rather wait a while longer and get interesting and useful content.

I am no Paizo guy, but they have content every day. It liked like wotc had finally figured out it was 2014. .....but apparently not.
