A) Where's Magic-User?

B) Bard - What? Hey, screw you Wotc_PeterS, in the nicest possible way :p

Bard is a good and descriptive class name that, in my experience, gets the sort of people who are going to be interested in a class like that, interested in the class.

C) Fighter - Does this mean the Fighter is going to be called something else? God if it's Warrior I'm going to be sad, because that's got to be most boring and least evocative alternate name for Fighter ever. I swear, I'd rather have Fighter than "Warrior".

Really? What's the problem with fighter? Too simple and self-explanatory?

What are you?
I'm a fighter.
What do you do?
I bake, and some crochet on the side.

Incidently, if they are going to put Bard and Barbarian on the bad list can I nominate the Ninja? :]

I think the my favorite term for a fighting type class I've ever seen was "Bravo." However, that's probably rather too evocative for D&D. I think the core classes are supposed to have generic names. So, fighter is actually spot on in my book.

Probably not what my character would say if you asked him his profession, though.
