My LGS has a copy of both Hero 5th (thats a HUGE book!) and Feng Shui. Where are you HB? (And don't say a sacred pasture or I'll grind you up and make you a hamburger :D  :o .

THe used bin is great for RPGs. I've gotten about a third of my d20 collection for at least half off. :D

Which works out fine, since a third of my d20 collection went *into* the used bin.

HA! That actually did make me lol!

I've always been pretty particular about what d20 stuff I buy - read lots of reviews and excerpts (if I can find them). Also asking around here usually helps too.

I'm not offering this as advice or anything its just how I operate - I have a very finite amount of money to spend on gaming (who doesn't?) and have to make sure that everything I get is something I will use and will actually make the games I run and play in more enjoyable for me and my friends.

But I am curious what was the one (or more) things you regret buying (d20 or otherwise)?

The one thing that stands out in my mind (and collection) was the Psionics Handbook. I thought the rules were very well done and the classes and monsters nicely balances with the core classes - but I have never used the thing! It sits in my collection and gathers layer after layer of dust. $40 that could have bought me a lot of other stuff :(

I can see that. A lot of the books I picked up (FRCS, Psionic's Handbook, Seafarer's Handbook, Mystic Races, Slayers Guides) are well worth paying 50% or less of the asking price. And I really like picking up modules for a buck or less in the used pile.
