Would a squirrel reference make you more likely to buy a new product?

Would the presence of a squirrel reference in a new product -- for example, new squirrel familiar stats, a dire squirrel animal companion, a Figurine of Wondrous Squirrel Power, the hidden tribe of Squirrel Folk, etc. -- make you more likely to buy that product?

We once tossed the joke of introducing vampire flying squirrels into our campaign, but didn't make it after all...

I really think that the stats of squirrels wouldn't make anyone buying a book. However the squirrel familliar and figurine sound nice ideas to me, but not the dire squirrel and definitely NEVER the squirrel-folk (please not another antropomorphic animal demihuman species...).
