Would/Do You Wear A D&D T-shirt In Public?

I have a few gaming t-shirts, and I generally wear them about the same frequency as my other shirts with designs on them (bands, places, tie-dyes, etc.)-usually after work and on the weekends. I've got a Dungeon Magazine/Warduke shirt, ENWorld Shirt, Eldar Sign shirt, Oathbound shirt, Confrontation Shirt, and a few others. I just wish some of them were white...

I've gotten a lot of wear out of my "Big Announcement" t-shirt from GenCon 1999. I was wearing it the night I took my step-daughter to see the circus a few years ago. The whole family got pulled out of the audience to take part in the crocodile act. So there we were in front of the entire crowd, with clowns jumping all around while a guy wresled with crocodiles, when one of the clowns leans in behind me and says, "I like your shirt. I'm one of you." I was quite amused.

A few years earlier, when I still worked at WotC, I was on my way to convention and I was wearing one of the old TSR logo polo shirts. While I was waiting to be screened, a security guard came up and asked if I worked at WotC. When I said yes, he said, "I just wanted to thank you for Alternity."

Gamers. We are legion.

I thought for a moment about not sharing this link. I could get a small run of white "NPC" shirts for $200 at $9/each and sell them for $12/each. With in no time at all, I could be a hundred-aire!

On occasion yes. I have the 30th aniversary one from last year. The D&D logo is not all that big, but the beholder on the back is.

I generally prefer shirts that gamers get, because it's sort of like a secret handshake for other gamers, but doesn't draw questions from the muggles.

Damnit, now i need to find my D&D shirt. I had one with Regdar on it that said D&D on the back. Now I cant find it :/ It dissappeared. My DM hated it because he always thought Regdar was staring at him lol.

Yeah! That's the shirt I have. I'ts been worn...a little too much though, now it's falling apart. My 5th edition magic shirt has fallen to the same fate.

As for wearing them in public, I've really had no response at all besides the occasional quiery about it.

The only thing I can remember was making some old guy uncomfortable when I was playing magic at a coffee shop, and he had to move tables...but he was strange anyways.

Probably not. If somebody asks me if I play D&D, I don't lie about it. However, it's a sad but true fact that much of the public still views gamers on a whole as nerds and losers, and I don't want people to automatically assume such of me (particularly if I'm in an environment where I could meet girls I'd consider asking out, like school or a party).

I was considering wearing my D&D3.0 t-shirt as a Halloween costume, tho...... I was gonna wear the D&D (Radgar) t and have my wife wear the Collector's Edition NeverWinter Nights t as costumes. That woulda rawked.

....Uhh, in a really geeky kinda way.

I dunno if at this stage of my life I could wander around in a D&D shirt. Which is strange because I have Lovecraft motif stuff by the score (Elder and Yellow signs, chaos stars any thing purely symbolic for the most part) and a smattering of Miskatonic U. stuff. But I suppose since this has a literary connection it makes it mo' better for me or something. :\
