Would immunity to poison protect you from unbreathable air?

- CO2 and SO2 are heavier than air and can easily accumulate in a bowl-like structure.
- hydrochloric and more hydroflouric and even elemental flour are part of standard volcanic gases (like sulfor dioxide and carbon dioxide and water as vapor)
If you ignore all toxic effects you still have a nice cocktail of nonbreathable gas (no oxygen or less than needed for breathing) and a humid environment with very nasty acid gases in them.
Believe me, I'm working with hydroflouric acid, you never ever want to get some of that gas in your eyes or even have contact with it on your wet skin ! Even if you filter the gases for breathing this wouldn't protect your skin or eyes. Hydroflouric acid is one of the meanest (read EVIL) acids around. First you don't notice anything but hours later as it diffuses into your body it dissolves your bones and causes Calcium to be no longer available for your muscles. The other acids are peanuts because you instantly feel their effect and you can react accordingly.

The laki eruption on iceland turned nearly the whole island into a desert. Most cattle and sheep died just because of heavy contents of flour in the vulcanic gases.

In Africa their was an event where volcanogenic carbon dioxide suddenly errupted from a craterlake at night. This heavy gas flooded a canyon and suffocated all people in a small village a few kilometers away from this lake.
