Would you buy new 100% compatable 1E modules?

I'm only interested in pdf products if they're free. If I'm paying real money, I want a real physical product. Black-and-white artwork and minimal artwork are no problem for me, but no artwork at all is going too far.

I'm pretty much in the same boat: I prefer print products.

Is there some point where you might reconsider. For instance, would you pay $2 for a 30 page module with solid editing and artwork, good writing and interesting/challanging traps and encounters?

I agree that brevity isn't necessarily an indicator that a product isn't good. However, I tend to agree with Treebore's point. It is pretty hard to justify buying a gaming product that costs almost $1 per page.

Very hard, given the standard pricing scheme of something like ten cents per page that most PDF publishers use and many print publishers making 30-ish page modules available for around $8.00 (US).

There you go. I understand XRP/Joe B. is probably trying to make money on smaller print runs, so the higher retail. Still, as much as I like XRP material I still have to consider my budget and what I get for what I spend.

Heck, even as much as I love C&C I still wait until the Trolls have their "MAdness" or "Buy one get one free" sales like they are having right now. Plus they are throwing in free subscriptions of Crusader on orders over $50.00. Still, the Trolls get more money from me this way than they do if I bought it retail.

With XRP I bought most of my stuff straight from them when they had "Clearance sales". Just, as far as I know, they haven't had a print sale in over a year. The only sales I noticed were for PDF only.

So, hopefully XRP will have a print clearance sale soon, and hopefully I'll be able to fit it into my budget at the time they have it.

Plus it would be nice if people would have sales at the beginning of the month. My wife and I are both disabled vets on fixed incomes. We're lucky to have pocket change the last 10 days of the month lately.

If anyone publishing for OSRIC is interested in hiring an old school cartographer who works fast and on the cheap, I'm available for any gig. :)

Black and white or blue and white, I remember when one square was equal to ten feet - and we LIKED it! :p
