Would you ever watch other people play RPGs, as entertainment?

It was a good show -- got me interested in Dragon Age mechanics (the stunt system sounds cool). Tabletop is a good show -- the episodes on Fiasco were good enough to convince me to get my group to give it a try.

Wil gets a little smirky and smug when he's talking to the camera -- I'd like him more a little more genuine, but he's doing good work with the show. ;)

DA on Table Top was good, and the Wizard's ones are fun to watch as well. I don't so much like the ones filmed over Google+ though. I'd rather see them at the table playing.

I think the DA RPG (AGE system) lacks a lot of depth, in my opinion, but it's great if you are a big fan of the Dragon Age IP, otherwise I think it has less to offer someone.

I really enjoyed this episode, and would love to see a more extended campaign regardless of system, I get more laughs out of the role play and jokes than mechanical situations.

This, and this again. I think THEY think they are demonstrating the game mechanics to us, but if we were really interested in entertainment, we wouldn't worry much about mechanics at all.

I don't think it's an either/or sort of thing. I enjoy the banter of the show, but I also like learning about new games that I haven't played before, and I've bought a couple games based on the way that they play on Table Top.

What have I learned from the Dragon Age episode of Table Top? Celebrity DMing is tough, but also really, really important. Makes me really respect what Chris Perkins does. For a "performance art" piece like this, the over the top descriptions and characterizations are really important.

It's funny: The way they got around this earlier in the season was to play an RPG with *no* DM (Fiasco) and that was fantastic.
