Would you pay a quarter an hour to play old school NWN

Well would you? You might have to sign up with AOL but would you play the old 3/4s view (that's what it is called right?) NWNs game? for 25 cents an hour?

No.

I think the reason the original NWN was popular because it was one of the first MMORPGs and it was somewhat expensive. So you had a very small community doing something cutting edge. Community is 80% of the fun (the rest I'd put into mechanics, the game is no fun if your broadsword acts like a sponge mop).

So while it sounds like it was a very fun game, I don't think it can be re-created.

Just for a quick calculation, that would cost more for active gamers than most current MMORPGs. Consider Everquest at 4 hours per day 25 days per month. That would be $25 a month.

No, I will NEVER pay extra for the right to play a game online. EQ is nothing but a cash cow for Sony. Why would I want to pay extra money just to play a game I already paid for? I can spent $50.00 to get NWN, and play online for free, or spend $50.00 for EQ and an extra $12.95/ month just to play it? Don't give me that BS line about sever costs, maintence, ect. Blizzard runs battle.net for free, lots of other companies run things at no extra cost to player.
