Mojo,

Hey I'm just bashing because I feel history is on my side. I'm a student of such things and while yes things change, the more they "Change" the more they stay the same.

Big corporation get bigger, people have to pay more, and the poor get shut out. Tell me that hasn't been the case, and maybe you can sell me swamp land in Florida too.

I'm just saying, I bash only because history proves me right. Then again maybe I should just let history roll over on me. *shrugs*

I'm hoping Wizards learned from the debacle that was "Master Tools" and then "E-Tools" (though I will say that Codemonkey did wonders with that program, and shame on WOTC for snatching it back from them so soon).

Ya know, I wonder if the recent example of Time Warner (my former employer until they sold their book publishing division) axing LIFE magazine and making it an online publication had any effect on their decision? Though it was fairly recent and this has likely been in the works for a little while.

Yup, that's what people said about upgrading to 3.5. Sure, some of you wll be true to your word and won't buy into it, but I suspect enough will that it will be a success. Wizards has probably done a good deal of market research going into this (I suspect that online survey was only a part of it), so they have an idea of what they need to offer to get people to sign on to this service.

Wow. Apples, meet oranges.

Mojo,

*shrugs* Who knows? These guys run in places that logic fears to tread. And they do so on whims and money. So while it might have been a factor, it's hard to say how much.

Aggy,

Be nice to the little Mojo. He's just trying to be positive. No sense in us ruining it with logic or at least historical facts. I'm just saying that Mojo just MIGHT be right. But I doubt it.

Logic and historical facts...ok. I guess I misread all of the posts above...I'll have to go re-read them...

Nope...still don't see it.

Yeah, that was a bit confrontational, my bad. But I stick by my point. 3.0 -> 3.5 is tough to compare to Dragon/Dungeon -> WotC Online Thingy

Mojo,

Eh well, I guess I was wrong. Even so Mojo, you go ahead with whatever you want. Me, I'll stay the way I am too. That is life after all. And history too.
