Wreck ashore (El Jefe judging) (Finished)

The man has an unkempt beard he scratches while speaking. His dirty clothes are quite smelly, now that you´ve the time to discern such details.

"I´m Oren. I was on my way, returning after speaking with the lizardmen"

"And what do you expect?" he says. "Not many tread this marshes, and of them not many are nice people. She" says looking at Eroin "tried to sneak on us, and your orc was ready to strike at your command."

The crossbows lie in the sand, and you notice they seem to be of very fine construction, as the scimitars are: light, well balanced and sharp.

What business do you have with the lizards?

"Nothing, really. We asked them to be porters."

Roddick: You search them, and find some copper coins, four vials filled with liquids of various colors (you don´t know a lot of magic, but they really seem to be what they call potions). The dead man had a golden medallion, well hidden in his underwear.

Hmmm
ooc: sense motive: 2
But still didn't say what you are doing here, except for running around asking lizards to carry your things. Lizards i don't see anywhere by the way. So did they not agree? And not much things to carry either...

ooc: I´ll secretly make some rolls, like Sense motive and some Spot or Listen checks.

"That´s not fair, sirs. You asked why was I here, and I truthfully answered. It´s not my problem if you don´t like what I said, or think I´m not telling you the truth. Now I truly sorry what we did, seeing that you´re fine people, but seems we already had enough punishment, with my mate there dead with his head open, and I without my weapons in a dangerous land. Could we contine our ways as friends, then?"

OOC: Roddick is not really stupid and probably knows what potions are, unless they are very rare.

Roddick will closely inspect the medaillon. If he finds no hints of it's origin or meaning, he'll ask if the living man knows what it is.

Roddick looks at the good weapons and thinks to himself that men with such weapons will likely not be content with a job as Porter. He struggles inside himself but decides that he'll tell this to Wilhelm instead of pointing that out himself.

The Cleric nods in understanding of Roddick's warning.

"Not so fast, Oren" Wilhelm warns him. "We have other questions for you. And if you think you can smooth talk your way out of here after attempting to kill my comrades and I, then you are sorely mistaken"

"What did you want them to bring and who do you work for? We know that there is something afoot in these marshlands"

Nor did I imply that Roddick were stupid. Going by the book, potions are not so rare that you´ve not heard of them, but expensive enough to be out of reach of the common people. So it´s reasonable to think it´s the first time you have one in your hands.

The medallion looks like a simple jewel to you.

"What did you want them to bring and who do you work for? We know that there is something afoot in these marshlands"

"Actually" says the man, looking at Hulgyr nervously, "Yes, there´s something wrong with the ships and the reefs. We assumed you were looking for that. I´ll tell you everything, but you must leave me free after that."

That's the other way around... friend. First you tell us what we want to know, then you walk.
There is not just trouble with the ships, also with the lizardpeople. You wouldn't be supplying them with weapons, by any chance? and what do you know about the ships?
