Looking at the pictures... is seems like WotC is making desperate attempts at raising the number of female gamers! :D

Have a look at the second picture... a table with 3 quite attractive women and 2 guys. If you look at the people in the *background*, you only see 1 woman and 14 other guys (most of which look like they could lose a few pounds ;)). Ditto with picture 7.

Not that I mind a bit of affirmative action / biased reporting if it'll bring more female gamers into D&D, mind you. Just thought it was kinda funny to see them being so blatant about it. :D

Just as the auto dealers always have a model next to their new cars at shows, I think WOTC would do well to use the same tactic. It works well, even among women, which can be best illustrated by all the Vogue, People, Cosmo, etc (into infinity) women magazines which also use the tactic.

Along the same lines, I really like the Unorthodox "x" advertisments. Grabs my attention.

i don't think the others have found it nearly as useful as i have.
