'WWE Smackdown!' Star Guerrero Dies

Eddie is so missed that lots of wrestling federations across the world are saluting him, and considering how his story was so full of ups and downs, and how much he has done to promote the wrestling buisness, and the fact that he was one of the best wrestlers of all time, from one of the greatest wrestling families of all times, His death is a major loss for all wrestling fans everywhere.

As I clicked on "new reply", Raw came on to the sound of the audience chanting "Eddie, Eddie, Eddie".

I really liked Eddie Guerrero. Of all the dead wrestlers over the last few years, THIS is the one that strikes me the hardest.

And once again, it happens in my town.

I cried alot about all them but the ones he knew and knew him best, Chris Benoit, Chavo, and guys that, that grew up and were with the man, touched me the most. You don't forget that kind of love and you certainly can't fake that kind of humanity.

Eddie man. He's the one I think of all the wrestlers from the past 10-15 years, I'll miss the most.

Chris man...I'd never thought I'd live to see the day the wolverine cry. That's something something I'd never see and it touches me more than anything.

Eddie Guerrero, simply the best. I don't care what else you say, he was the man I loved too.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

I won't get to see Raw until Thursday morning, but I take it it was a fitting tribute? (please, no spoilers).

This reminds me of the Von Erich tragedies.
It seems that wrestlers are fated to die in hotel rooms. I got really sick in a hotel once and I can tell you that I never felt more alone.

What is wierd is that just last Saturday, I got a Latino Heat t-shirt. It's the only wrestling related t-shirt I've ever owned.

E-knight,

Well Stephanie MacMahon had a little better saying will always be a champion but to me he'll be the best no matter what.

The tributes were good but I felt it more from the people that truly interacted with him, wrestled with him or just spent time with him, both inside and outside the business. Particually of note were, of course, Bastia, Chris Benoit, Stephanie MacMahon, Rey Mysterio, Chavo, and probably the Big Show too.

I figured it might be a heart problem or at least maybe an ebollism. I feel sad for him, passing as he did but at least I know it was without pain and only because his past did catch him. But his truest legacies live on with us all, no matter what.

WWE.com posted the following:

After the untimely passing of Eddie Guerrero, WWE and the entire sports-entertainment community is steel reeling from the devastating loss of a champion. The initial autopsy reports on Guerrero have come in. WWE.com spoke with Eddie's widow, Vickie Guerrero, earlier today.

"It was heart failure. It was from his past ? the drinking and the drug abuse. They found signs of heart disease. She (the examiner) said that the blood vessels were very worn and narrow, and that just showed all the abuse from the scheduling of work and his past. And Eddie just worked out like crazy all the time. It made his heart grow bigger and work harder and the vessels were getting smaller, and that's what caused the heart failure. He went into a deep sleep.

As soon as they saw his heart, they saw the lining of his heart already had the heart disease. There was no trauma, and Eddie hadn't hurt himself in any way. It answered a lot of questions. I knew Eddie wasn't feeling very good for the last week. He was home and kept saying he wasn't feeling good and we thought it was just "road tired." So we thought he just had to rest. It answered a lot of my questions, too, because he was just so exhausted. She said it was normal because the heart was working so hard.

When he didn't call me last night and the night before I knew it was for real, because he would call me every night. I miss his phone calls. I cried through the whole thing (last night).

I loved his laugh. His laugh was the best.

We just celebrated his four-year sobriety last Thursday. We just thought we had life by the handful. We thought we had it all figured out. He worked so hard to make a better life for us.

I'm just overwhelmed by how people are coming out. It's touched my heart a lot.

Everybody was just in awe last night in how beautifully everything was put together.

All my life was wrestling. All he did was take care of them and live for that. And I don't know what to do now."

I will miss Eddie...I really wanted to see him get one more run with the title...

Chavo is dropping the Kerwin White gimmick. I imagine he'll get a significant push as well. Probably all of those closest to Eddie...
