WWII Equipment?

First Post
This is the first post of a long time lurker who finnally took the d20 Modern Plunge.

I´m starting an alternate reality WWII setting which initially begins without FX abilities, and without advanced technology (yet). Yes, I know WWII alternate realities were Nazis haven´t lost have been done to death, but this is the first time I run this one. From both this thread and the Plots thread I have noticed I am not the only one.

Well, my question is : What equipment lists do you use for your settings? If somenone has a link I may use I´d greatly appreciate it.

I especially need help with the vehicles, and with the guns, although I think I can wing the latter (change to smaller magazine sizes, forbid assault rifles).

I´m staring the campaign Tuesday evening, with a Mission Impossible type cast going underground in Occupied Prague. The missions will include a lot of underground intrigue, as well as compound infiltration.

Well, I´m a possitive thinker, so I will thank everybody in advance

The V for Victory mini-game in the latest issue of Polyhedron (#156) has alot of setting information and equipment lists. It is done for D&D 3E though, not d20 Modern. At least you will have extensive listing of weapons, although you will probably have to tweak the damage.

Pinnacle's Weird Wars 2 books are what you want for vehicles, guns, etc. They are std d20 not d20M in stats but that is easily overcome.

I'm running a WW2 game now that has little in the way of supernatural stuff in it at this time (that WILL come!)

For specific unit stuff or specific materiel information Opsrey Publishing make a great series of books (they may even be available for reference at you local library!)

I've purchased several "illustrated Directory of" books dealing with arms and vehicles from my local Walden Books bargain bin.

The internet is definately your friend when it comes to information on historic items like planes and armored vehicles. With a little effort game stats are easy to come up with.

Hope this info helps!

For the small arms I would stat the damage by caliber of the round taken right out of the d20 modern book. A 9mm bullet is a 9mm bullet. Just use the magazine capacity of the historical firearm. I would do range the same way. Just match up the closest modern weapon. Most players won't know the subtle differences between a 1940's SMG and a modern one. Even if they do, your goal should be game balance anyway.

Hi, I have a very well done weapons list for d20 modern at home, but I'm currently at school. Email me (aurin777@yahoo.com) and I'll send it your way.
