Actually, VB is pulling your leg. He's really from the States. However the one advantage he has is that he is from the future!! He has seen X2, The Matrix: Reloaded, LXG, The Hulk & (of course) LotR: The Musical.

Actually, the real reason I tend to get all the big geek movies
before you yanks, is because my local Geek Shop (tm) holds 'em
and because Iceland is pretty much off the radar from all the
studios, they can hold advance screenings.

I've seen it twice because the day after I saw the Geek Shop
screening, I won two tickets in an online game.

I'm green with envy as well. I have been counting down the days ever since I found out when it was coming out. Was it better than the first?

Better? I'm not sure. Probably yes. I'll tell you after my 10th
time watching it.

That said, it builds directly upon the first movie. This is not a
stand-alone film with the same characters, but follows on
subplots left over from the first movie (sadly, it creates new
ones for future films as well, and I'm really afraid it won't ever
be made).
