[Xbox] Are there any good RTS games available now or coming out soon ?

Hello All,

I am an avid fan of RTS and other Civilization/War type computer games which untill recently, played on my PC. Well as it happens I am no longer a PC owner,(Long and very frustrating story involving my ex-girlfriend) and to let my video gaming bug be satisfied, have decided to buy an Xbox. Now, while there are many great and exciting titles to choose from, I do not seem to notice any RTS type games. Nor have I noticed anything in the magazines as upcoming soon. So I was wondering if someone out there knew if any RTS games were coming to Xbox and when ? I think the Command and Conquer series, like Red Alert 2 and the more recent, Generals, would be able to play well on the Xbox, and should not really pose to much of a problem to port over from the PC. If the humble PSOne can get RTS games(the first Command and Conquer and the first Red Alert was released for that console years ago) then I am sure the more powerfull Xbox could take up the challenge. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated....Cheers !!!

none are out yet that I know of and I don' see any in the future on xbox.com but I may be missing it.

Armada 2 may be one but I think its more of a space shooter. I haven't looked at it at all though so I have no idea.

Pikmin 1&2 (Gamecube) are about the only RTS action you'll see on a console presently, it's just not a genre that works particularly well on console.

Cheers guys, I owned Armada 2 when it was on the PC (assuming you meant the Star Trek RTS game right ?) which was pretty cool but full of bugs. Shame about the RTS genure not being popular on consoles as they used to be on the old Playstation One. Oh well maybe as the consoles become more popular the RTS genure will start to creep in, other than that I'll just have to get a PC again and find an excuse for my bank manager to have to wait for his overdraft facility to be re-paid. well if you get a PC get warcraft 3. While I found the max upkeep limit um very limiting, I thought overall the game rocked and it had a really cool story to boot.

I haven't goton the expansion yet, so I wont comment on that.

Will do, and might even be able to get it on discount, as a buddy of mine works in a Computer Superstore and gets a 30% discount on all gaming software over 6 months old, plus it won't be at full price anyway as it has been out a while hasn't it ? Cheers Mate !!!

There's a new Alien vs. Predator game coming out for PS2 and XBox that will be RTS... weird...

Well an RTS Aliens vs Predator game would absolutely Rock more than Fred Flintstones Rocking Chair.......Awesome !!!!
