Dear Xbox users,
So Im thinking about finally getting into Xbox Live. My Xbox has been in hibernation for about a year, but the upcoming crop of games (like True Fantasy Online) got me interested.
My question is regarding connection. My ISP is Insight BB which isnt an Xbox "partner". According to their website (which usually is never updated), I have to buy a seperate IP address to use the Xbox and a computer. But if I direct connect, cant I use my currect IP address? So far customer service has been...less than helpful.
I only ask because IMHO my cable co. is a bit rapacious and I dont trust them in accuracy regarding anything technical- for instance, the seemingly simple task of getting my initial broadband connection going was a nightmare of conflicting and outdated info.
Anyway, thanks
