"Put cha hands in tha air,
Wave 'em around like ya jus' don't care,
Yee-ah."
I got my "XCrawl" setting book in the mail today! I just had time to briefly scan through it before coming to work (actually, it made me a little bit late to work), and I was impressed by what I saw.
The contents are more background and setting than actual rules, but when you think about it, that makes since. It gives a complete alternate history and setting for our world, incorporating magic, demihuman races and monsters. Most of the actual d20 game mechanics, you already know if you play 3E D&D.
There are rules additions for some new weapons -- including firearms -- new armor, new equipment, some new spells and some new monsters. Also a world specific race of dark elves.
One thing I was disappointed with -- no interior color art. The artwork that is used is good, I just wish some of it would've been in color. I know that would increase the price, but it would've been nice.
I can't wait to get back home and examine it in depth.
