After rewatching that- one of my all-time favorite things on the Internet- I had an insight: Eau De Surströmming might keep you safe from being cannibalized until deep into the later rounds. (At least, in regions where surströmming wasn’t already present as part of the local cuisine.)

(Of course, if hunting with ranged weapons is permitted, it won’t help at all.)

We bring surströmming to our annual family Midsummer party as a way of initating newbies (my family is Scandinavian). Frankly, I would rather eat people.

So, one of my colleagues was the Cookie Mom. At the proscribed time, she came to me and asked I wanted some Girl Scout Cookies. I asked if they were made from real Girl Scouts. She replied "free range!"

I put a few thousand hours into the online game DayZ a few years back with my American friends. A zombie apocalypse survival horror.

There is a whole subculture of people in that game who kill, cut up and eat newbies and even feed them to helpless prisoners. Worse… in the game cooked human fat looks the same as animal fat so you quickly learn not to eat cooked fat unless you hunted and cooked it yourself.

Eating human in the game gives you kuru/prions which manifests as an uncontrolled high pitched giggle every 10 seconds or so. its quite terrifying when you are hiding in a house and hear that sound just outside the door. Cannibals are kill on sight!

Both great and terrible that they took the time to program this!
