Xmen type characters

Well after seeing X2 I started thinking about some character ideas. Like a Psychic Warrior using dual bladed gauntlets made of adamantine stored in gloves of storing and taking the prestige class from WotC that gives them fast healing.

So what do you think having an adamantine skeleton would have on a D&D character?

Any ideas for any other characters? I'm not looking for exact replicas but something that somewhat mimics them.

Using the PsiHB, you can create Pyro (using the Pyrokineticist PrC) and although she's not in the movie, the Soulknife PrC from the same book just screamed Psylocke to me.

I think a more interesting concept would be this: What if adventurers were as feared and hated for their power and skill as the XMen were for their superhuman nature? And those claws would definately be more of a Graft or Dweonetic.

Adamantite skeleton? Immune to critical hits from bludgeoning weapons and instant-kill attacks in campaigns that use the 20-20-20 instant kill.

Rogue is a Soul Eater from BoVD, I think. Storm has Control Weather and various Lightning spells as Spell Like Abilities, and the Professor is a Psion40.

And Mutants And Masterminds probably does it better...obviously.

So far as D&D goes, it's really hard, because they all look like they ought to have different levels. Eeek.

And I'd love to see what people think Cyclops Eye Beams should be in D&D terms.

I'd go with Sorceror for Storm, with all weather-related spells, of course. For example: Endure Elements, Obscuring Mist, Shocking Grasp, Gust of Wind, and so on. Druid seems more appropriate, but then she has all those powers that don't fit, like wild shape.

Cyclops is a tough one, since he has the role of an Evoker, but that doesn't really fit him. So he's probably best as a Fighter with the Spellfire feat and PrC.

Nightcrawler could be a Tiefling Psion (Nomad), maybe with some Rogue or Thief-Acrobat levels.

Wolverine works well as a Psychic Warrior, especially since they have so many claw powers. Edit - Add some Barbarian levels, for his Rage and berserker fighting style.

Angel is an Avariel Fighter.

Iceman would be either a Sorcerer with all Cold spells or a Psion (Savant) with the Kinetic (cryo) PrC.

One of my next characters will be a psychic warrior and I'll either have him be the Xmen type or take levels in the Psychic Weapon Master Prestige Class.
