I can't find it in the SRD. Does anyone have a link to it somewhere? Or could someone repost them? I just need the 3.5 xp and feat progression and, unfortuneately, I'm at work...

The XP table isn't in the SRD--it's one of the few things they didn't set up as open content. In fact, I don't think I could legally reproduce it here, though someone else may say I'm wrong.

Feats, though, are at 1st, 3rd, 6th, and every third level thereafter.

1st: 0
2nd: 1000
3: 3000
4:6000
5: 10000
6:15,000
...

To get to the next level of experience, you need an additional amount of XP equal to your current level x 1000. So 1->2 needs 1000, 2->3 needs an additional 2000 (total 3000).

The formula for the sums is N*(N+1)*500, where N is your current level. To level up from 5th to 6th, you need 5*6*500 = 15,000 total experience.

Characters get a feat at 1st level, then at 3rd and every 3 levels thereafter (6,9...). Humans get an additional one at 1st level.

This isn't open game content, but then, I'm not an open game license publisher, this is a website, and the OGL doesn't apply to discussion.

Technically, copyright laws don't apply if the material is being used strictly for educational purposes.

Unfortunately, the lawyers get to define "educational purposes," not the gamers...

One, you can copyright the actual text of game rules, but not rules concepts themselves, and I didn't transcribe the actual text, just a description of the rules. I don't have a PHB in front of me, and I haven't looked at that part of it for months anyway :)

Two, fair use applies. Even if I had quoted the table from the beginning of the class chapter in the PHB, it's a small amount of text (the general rule is 10 to 20 lines or less), and I was quoting it in the context of discussing the content with another person.

Three, that's why lawyers are bad, they're out to ruin the world so they can make a profit.

Lawyers are weapons. Their clients are the ones pointing them at different targets.

Those intellectual property right laws are there for a reason. They drive innovation. Without them, people would have no profit incentive to create. Without that incentive, our world would be hundreds of years behind in technological innovation. Instead of cursing the minutia of these laws, be grateful that someone was smart enough to come up with them in the first place.

Lawyers are more like arms dealers. They are the only ones who benefit from a war.

So the lady that got a ton o' cash because she sued McDonalds when she poured coffe in her lap didn't benefit, only her lawyer did?

Correct, as I recall McDonald's appealed the decision and won....
