D&D 5E XP for listening to podcasts?

Hello,

I recently listened to several acquisitions incorporated podcasts. At the end of each podcast chris perkins states that you get XP for listening (between 1000 and 2000). Is this real? Can I actually apply this to my character?

I would assume it's in jest. But hey, you can always try asking your DM!

Of course you get XP. Unfortunately the XP you earn is not transferable to any of your characters. I've been DMing, playing and listening to podcasts for years so I am now a level 10 D&D nerd.
