XP for XMas

How much XP should I give as an XMas gift for my girlfriend's 10th level character?

you should give her one less xp to level, print it on a card of some sort, put it in an envelope, put the envelope in a small bag, wrap the bag in duct tape, put the ball of tape in a shoebox, wrap the shoebox in duct tape, put the duct tape box in a computer box, wrap the computer box in RED wrapping paper, put the red box in a TV box, wrap the TV box in duct tape, put a few paper bags over the Duct tape TV box, put the paper bag duct tape box in a Surround sound system box, wrap the SSS box in duct tape, put the duct tape SSS box into a refridgerator box, wrap the refrigerator box in duct tape, wrap the duct tape fridge box in Red wrapping paper, put a bow on the paper, put a card on the box, the card contains 1 xp.
umm..... Somehow I get the feeling that those things will be a little difficult to procure.

Anyhow, get her what you see works for your game sessions. I can't help but feel that giving people XP for christmas is a dead giveaway that you're a nerd (not that playing D&D doesn't put anyone under that category already)

Give her a Windows XP Home Edition cd. :p

I don't know, is the rest of the group ok with her getting special treatment? Why not next session have the party fight a whole bunch of level 10 human commoners with no feats other than toughness, wearing shirts that say "XP"? Then the whole party gets xp!

EDIT: I'll choose "enough to level" and...I guess the people they kill will be the "wrapping paper"...

Psht! Amateur. Get enough plastic eggs to fill the surround sound box. Fill each egg with a scrap of paper with one xp written on it. Wrap each egg in duct tape and place in box. Duct tape the box and wrap. Get some friends and family to assit to cut down the work involved. Alternatively, working off your idea, fill the empty space in each of the boxes with the duct taped eggs.

The OP says that she is in a solo game (so she is the only one in the party).

Xp strikes me as a very... blah sort of gift, really. However, suggesting XP as a gift shows that she's okay with in-game gifts... just make it a little more interesting. Like "Plot Twist" cards, for example. Give her 3-5 little cards that say "Plot Twist" on them. Whenever she wants, she can trade one in to dictate a minor plot twist of some sort. As long as it doesn't crash the game. Like the classic "an old friend happens to be in the next cell, and he lifted the key when they tossed him in" type deal.

Or at least something like UA Action Points (Xp for Crafting = 3x, yeah?) or the like. Something she can't get by just going out and fighting more monsters.
