1) Run? In spite of the psionic feat's preamble, I don't think you can run, per se, since run is a full-round action.

Benefit: While you are psionically focused, you can take part of one of your move actions to traverse a wall or other relatively smooth vertical surface if you begin and end your move on a horizontal surface. The height you can achieve on the wall is limited only by this movement restriction.

Emphasis mine. We simply play it that you can use one move action per round to move along a wall.

2) I don't see why skate wouldn't work. "Sideways" becomes the new "down".

Agreed. You have to use a move action as stated per the feat. Of course, the reason it says part of one of your move actions is because you must begin and end on a horizontal surface. So, there is at least 5 (if not 10) feet of your movement right there. That only levels part of your move action for the up the walls stuff. As far as up vs. down, I don't think it matters. You can go up a tree or down a tree as long as you begin and end on a horizontal surface ... or else you fall.

The subject can skate up or down any incline or decline she could normally walk upon without mishap, though skating up an incline reduces the subject’s speed to normal, while skating down a decline increases her speed by an additional 15 feet. (This adjustment is treated as a circumstance bonus.)

So... you can skate down a wall, but there's no point in skateing up a wall.

The feat isn´t too well written, though. By the RAW, you can´t use it if you start (or end) the move action levitating, flying or using the elocater´s ability scorn earth, unless you start the move action in contact with the ground, fly to the wall and start moving up or down it.

Course you are you know... flying, walking up a wall isn't as cool when you levitate up it. Also, running down a wall is fine with the feat. Skating up it might not be so wise (cuts your speed if you try)

Falling isn't too bad if you're going down-- you don't need to end up horizontal if you can get to 5' away from the surface-- how much damage do you take for falling five feet? :)
