Xxx

I thought it was great fun. The realism is horrible, of course, but XXX is a perfect example of a Feng Shui game. Or rather, it would be if it had a slightly better ending. :)

We rented XXX and Bourne Identity the same night. Four out of four people preferred XXX.

The only reason I detested Bourne Identity is because I'd read the trilogy several times. That movie wasn't really close to the book IMO. I think I would've liked the movie had it not been titled Bourne

So could this post double as a recommendation for the books?

Never read the books. Found the movie highly entertaining. As for xXx, it was the worst kind of summer action movie: Boring and uninteresting. And more than a little embarrassing since everyone involved obviously thought they were making the event movie of the year.

My younger sister saw it before I did and said every time Vin Diesel got on a motorbike she was reminded of E.T. "Oh, there he goes again...." Not exactly a ringing endorsement for a macho action flick.

Any word on who is?

Ice Cube. (I think I got him right--I get him mixed up with some of the other rapper/actors--but I think that's it.)

That's the latest I've heard, anyway. He could be fine, though, but I like Vin, so I'm bummed he's out for the next one.

I liked xXx. Fun movie with no brains, lots of explosions and some neat ideas. Not great but I had a really fun time while watching it which I believe is the point. I would have seen a sequel with Vin Diesel in a heartbeat.

Yep, it's Ice Cube from Torque and Barbershop 1 & 2.

D&D player Vin Diesel is busy with the Riddick Chronicle film.

Jeez, I thought that movie was MST3K-bad. My favorite bit was how they made a point of describing the virus delivery vehicle as a submersible, and then when it's clear Vin won't be able to stop it if it submerges they just conveniently ignore that feature.

If the CIA is recruiting extreme sports outlaws to foil terrorism we are well and truly screwed.
