Lyo stares at Patch or more specifically, the metal claw protruding from the judge's hand "Doesn't that hurt?"


Using the momentum of his succesful attack, Lyo goes in low like a manta gliding over the ocean floor, and comes up with an upercut.

The manta ray punches over the mesa; grasps the thrust of the snow!

Diamond takes the mongoose stance and launches her next attack

The mongoose flies below the delta; scatters the tempest of the water!

Patch smiles knowingly at Lyodin's question then answers, "Every time..." 'Snikt!'

"Point, two claws, and match to Lyodin!"

"Lady Diamond, you've lost again but not lost much. Your record drops to 0-2, but you've gained in experience and knowledge. If your fighting skill equaled you verbal fencing skills, I'm almost sure you would have won. Keep practicin' an you'll go far I'm sure. Ya got a lot of spirit, Lady.

"Lyodin, You've won your first match and bested an excellent fighter and talker. The paths of your destiny are now open before ya, yada yada yada, blah blah, blah. What path are ya gonna take, kid? I ain't got all day ya know."

Lady Diamond bows with a flourish and mounts her warhorse to see out more hapless victi... err.. opponents.

Lyodin makes a show of bowing extravegantly to Lady Diamond.


"It was a pleasure to battle you Lady Diamond...well, for the most part at least. Perhaps we could meet again under less strenuous cercumstances? He wiggles his eyebrows suggestivly at her.

The coin he had at the start of the encounter appears back in his hand and he starts rolling it through his fingers as he turns to Patch.

"There is only one path as far as I am concerned, for good, honor, power and evil are mere illusions. The Yen on the other hand is very real, and so it is what I will fight for."

"A money man it is then. Lyodin, you are hereby promoted to Copper Sash-0. Good luck in the future, bub."

Then, with a double 'Snakt!' Patch retracts both his claws, slings his duffle bag over his shoulder, and walks off down an alley into the darkness.
