After having waited for his belt's brown dye to dry, and after having learnt the basics of the Blizzard style from Darkwolf, Kerall gets out and looks for a challenge.

I find your Lord to be unkempt, your island to be pretentious, and your hand to be grating.

umm can I try?
I'm new, so I kinda want to learn the ropes. :)

I find your Master to be rude, your guesthouse to be shabby, and your strength to be clumsy.

Kyramus
White belt
new

It's OK for me, but since you're new know that Kerall is a Brown Belt and a fairly powerful fighter (as you can see from his lots of abilities). He has many advantages and it will be very difficult for you to beat him (though if you did manage to do it, the reward would be exceptional!).

OTOH, as a white belt, you can't lose anything. Do you still want to fight Kerall?

(grins) um... ok. :)

Kyramus sizes up Kerall and knows full well that he could be flattened into the ground, but it would be a good excersise and maybe learn something in the process.

OOC: ok what now? :) from what I read the insult phase is the first, then we need a judge?

"Very well, white belt. Let me call a judge, and we shall begin!"

OoC:
Now we need a judge to determine who wins the insult round. The winner will decide the match type and duration.

If I win, I want a 5 flags speed strategy match.

OOC: since I don't know much about the game, I know there is a 2 flag (I was watching the Meepo vs Sanctus fight) What's a 5 flag speed?

Three ancient judges arrive, smiling broadly. They are followed by their heavy laden flag girl.

"We can judge," says the oldest and thinnest of the judges.

"If you accept, then know that The ancient masters have decreed this match to take place at the desert north of the Lake of the Sacred Tortoise on the dawn of the west wind.," says the tallest judge.

The youngest and roundest of the judges snickers as he compares the rankings of the two fighters.

Kyramus, for a full explanation of the rules go here (YB rules) or visit the Faq at the top of the forum page. The fighter who wins insults may choose the length of the match. The number of flags in a speed match is the number of points you must win total in order to win the game.

In a more traditional match, flags may be won or lost and so the number of flags is the number of points you must win in a row (more or less) in order to win the game.

Kyramus shows the newbieness of his ways as he reads the flags and speed match and a light bulb dawns over his vamparic head which causes him to squint

ooc: Wow that sounds like fun, a race to get 5 flags. hehehehe. So who won the insult phase?
