(Shame on Rini for attempting to inveigle the judge! :) The extra flag and yen that Rini would have received from the Fist of Fury have been removed. Thanks for catching that, Yellow Sign.)

“Both moves make powerful use of synergy; the trident lurks and chants in the depths, while the northstar swallows its words with perfect silence. Both moves are strong, but Winter Snow’s has slight flaws; tridents, of course, cannot speak, whereas the beauty of a star can move men to silence; and by silencing the roar of the tempest, Winter Snow makes his opponent’s task all the easier. Point to Rini.”

Three flags neutral, one flag Winter Snow.

“I do so love the celestial techniques,” smiles the judge. “Both combatants employ them here with an eye to grace and skill rather than raw power. Rini draws upon the movement of the stars across the heavens, while Winter Snow calls upon the music of the celestial spheres. Rini, I think, has the better attack, while Winter Snow has the superior and more apropos defense. Winter Snow’s use of wind and star moves in conjunction is quite elegant, and it gives him the round.”

Two flags Winter Snow, two flags neutral.

1: The spider shreds the paradise; negates the cut of the fires!

2: The west wind leaps over the plain; wards off the storm of the river!

3: The west wind mangles the desert; negates the kick of the sands!

4: The raven leaps underneath the village; reduces the kick of the feline!

5: The kama appears below the prairie; shreds the speed of the field!

Rini’s Thirteenth Hand:
1: The snake decimates the ravine; negates the motion of the grass!

2: The tsunami cuts the ricefield; guards against the beauty of the shell!

3: The dagger shouts from the fountain; wards off the slash of the crevice!

4: The tiger slashes close to the desert; shields the drive of the abomination while it averts the kick of the horn! *yen*

5: The trident bows through the ricefield; quells the tempest of the stone!
