(YB!) Sahiro Tso-Nah defeats Sanctus Togashi - Judged by Rini!

Well, I was hoping to score at least one flag before the last round of this hand, so that I could FoF with my Dragon move (to risk gaining the Dragon Style which I desire), but since that is no-longer an option...

The trident carves the dungeon; guards against the cut of the bone!

FoF

The dragon prances below the city; averts the drive of the mountain!

Sanctus uses his strongest attack left in his current charge of ki, and launches himself airborn like the Dragoons of legend (the Dragoons who mimic Dragons, not to be confused with actual Dragons). He uses a Trident made of pure ki energy, and hammers into the ground (and hopefully his target) a forceful, dungeon shattering, quake. His "prance" in the sky enhances the force of the attack with the Dragon's pride, and hopefully strikes his opponent much more deeply than usual.

Yeah, I'll bet that raven is defended against the mire. I also bet it's dead. Spinning under a volcano? Nah.

::The panther arises, and with it comes a kitten of the same species who had been nestled next to it's mother. They saunter thier way over to Togashi, and the mother carefully lays herself down to be a pillow for her daughter. A mole pokes it's head out from the ground where the panther used to be so he can sense the fight.::

Togashi: 2; Tso-Nah: 2; Goal: 3

Ah, yes, thank you Temuro. I'd forgotten about that.

~Sanctus Togashi:
1: The snake spins above the hells; grasps the beauty of the flower!

2: The willow seeks higher than the bluff; waves away the stab of the tides!

3: The cautious claw strikes above the plain; parts the rising of the mire!

4: The wolf strikes upon the atoll; averts the chaos of the farm!

5: The snake drops next to the clearing; redirects the violence of the feline!

Sahiro Tso-Nah:
1: The fox flies in the midst of the dungeon; fends off the drive of the star!

2: The lotus blossom assaults the wastelands; dodges the onslaught of the pole!

3: The mantis dexterously slays the island; scatters the storm of the tides!

4: The whip becomes one with the castle; shreds the energy of the ledge!

5: The mantis severs the heavens; blocks the onslaught of the sickle!~

Sanctus Togashi glances at the judge briefly...

"Temuro? Shiba Temuro? I've heard that name before... somewhere."

OOC: I think Knight Otu created Temuro as a character related to the Rokugan Industrial Revolution. Sanctus Togashi is my PC in that game, and Temuro might be able to aquire some information on his past by encountering the YB persona of Togashi. That's just a theory, however, as he is the only one that knows.

This is what I live for, that last Twisted second when the skill and strategy proves itself...

OOC: The incredible perplexity of the final strategy... as the senior fighter, I guess it's my responsibility to go first. I'm going to size up the final round to myself in this post, so you can ignore it if it disinterests you (unlikely).

First, Sanctus sizes up his opponent. He holds out his hands with all ten fingers outstretched...

He's got three good shots of ki left in him, and two pathetic ones...

Two of Sanctus fingers drop.

I've got the perfect defense for one of his attacks.

One of Sanctus fingers drops.

The other two moves share a similar word... and one of them has a great deal to do with water energy while the other is tied to positive energy.

Sanctus looks at his own inner strength.

Ah, the perfect defense for his one move, and an offense that has good flow... but it would lose.

Sanctus lowers a finger on his other hand.

No... the tides are not even useful with the river, and he can get right through that defense...

Sanctus lowers another finger.

Ah... careful and precise... that's the trick... and the flow is good for me.

Sanctus keeps a finger up.

Hrm... ah the wolf... excellent had I felt my opponent was with the chaos or the farm.

Sanctus drops a finger.

Ah, and another pathetic one...

Sanctus drops his last finger. Oddly enough, only his middle finger remains on one hand, and his thumb and middle finger on the other.

That settles it!

The cautious claw strikes above the plain; parts the rising of the mire!

(OOC: If you want to know where Temuro came from, look at my Record. :) He was my last match.)

'The yen! Do it for the yen!'

Tso-Nah tosses one blade aside, holds the other in both hands, in front of him, it's center of balance aligned with his. He fixes Togashi with a level, determined stare.

The mantis dexterously slays the island; scatters the storm of the tides!

With a last, furious burst of ki, Tso-Nah makes a dextrous leap high into the air, raising the blade high above his head! Pouring all his strength into a single stroke, he slashes downward. Time seems to stop as the fighters match their last shreds of strength, and wait for the judgement.

Somewhere, during his own match, on a graveyard, Temuro somhow feels his name mentioned... His sensei, Rini-sama..., his recent opponent, Tso-Nah-san... and Sanctus Togashi! Sanctus Togashi of the Dragon clan. He would have to seek Togashi out some time...

Ah, my appologies, Togashi, it was a strange twist of fate that I should think of my student when I saw you. As you can see I fixed your name for the hands.

Anyway, them manti are tricky bastards. No matter how carfully that claw performed, it was nothing to the power of scattering tides.
::The mole burrows underneath the ground and bumps Sahiro Tso-Nah's foot.::

Togashi: 2; Tso-Nah: 3; Goal: 3

Sanctus Togashi, you have been demoted to Greenbelt D1. Don't fret too much. I know that you are a good fighter and can make it up.

::Rini unbottons her robe pocket and gives two weasel smelling yen to Tso-Nah.::

Sahiro Tso-Nah, you have won your first match. You have also earned the style of the mantis. I have a feeling I know what you will be leaning towards, but you may visit me at my dojo at any time. Please, decide your fate.

Tso-Nah nods to Togashi. "You are an honorable and skilled warrior. May honor shine on your family and clan always."

He then turns to Rini and her bestial escort, and bows to the judge. "I shall continue down the path of the Yen. If there is a profit to be made in the world, may I seek it and find it."

Okay, the new and improved (tm) Sahiro Tso-Nah!

[Sahiro Tso-Nah
Copper Sash 2
Powers: Signature Style (Mantis), Profiteer, Arena Fighter, Bribe Judges
Yen: 5
Record:
LOSS to Shiba Temuro, remained White Belt, gained 4 Yen
WIN over Sanctus Togashi, advanced to Copper Sash 1, gained 1 Yen

This is my first advancement, so please point out any mistakes.

Tso-Nah pockets the two yen, and strides to fetch his tossed-aside blade. He picks it up, and raises it in a solute to his honorable judge and opponent. With that, he strides off (into the sunset, of course. :)).

Hate to break it to you Sahiro, but you won 3 ranks, not two. That makes you Copper Sash 2, and congratulations. Your only one fight away from the next rank.
